Looking for your printer at the local computer store
Visit your local computer store and find the printer that is right for you
Sometimes shopping online can be very dull and boring. You may want to visit your local computer store and check out a printer right before your eyes. This is certainly a good idea especially if you want to make sure of your purchase. If you want to see the exact color of the printer and the real physical dimensions then going to a local computer store is the best bet that you can make. When you are at the computer store, the first thing that you should ask the sales person is a printer test page. All printers have a printer test page.
Check out the performance of your printer
When a printer test page is generated, the first thing that you will notice is the speed. Is it printing fast enough? Is the speed sufficient for your daily printing requirements? If the printer is printing too slowly then it is an automatic indication that you should not purchase such a printer. If it is printing fast enough then it is now time for you to check the other characteristics. Look at the text, graphics, and the photo images quality. Is it good for you? Are you satisfied with the output of this printer? If you are going to print a lot of word documents then the text on your printer test page must be comprehensible. If you are going to print out graphics and photo images then you certainly have to check the color and the resolution of this printer test page. If it claims to be 720 dpi or 720 dots per inch then look at the paper and see if the advertisement is lying or not, you can easily see if the printer test page is satisfactory or not.
Move on to the next printer if you are not satisfied with the printer test page
The printer test page will allow you to see a sample output for your future printer. If you do not like the results then the best thing to do is to move on to the next printer and try it out too. At the end of the day, there will certainly be a printer out there that will meet all of your requirements in terms of performance and in terms of budget. Spending a few hours in a computer store may be enough but if you are quite demanding then you will either spend more money than the usual or more time looking for the perfect printer.
